Doll Dress - Haunted Mansion Inspired Gown for 18 inch dolls like American Girl

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love all things Disney. I found this Haunted Mansion fabric and bought some not knowing what it wanted to be. I held onto it for a while and finally decided it wanted to be this one of a kind gown. Making this was a labor of love and I'm so happy with how my vision came to life. The style is an early 1900's Edwarian Walking Skirt and Shirt Waist. It is a 2 piece gown. Dripping in black lace and decorated with lots of hand-placed crystals, it is a beautiful, unique gown.
The shirt waist has a white neck band with a gem-stone pendant. The yolk is trimmed with black lace and decorated with crystals that match the pendant. The back of the yolk has the same black lace and crystals.

The 3/4 length sleeves end with a matching white band and black lace. There are more of the crystals around the sleeve as well.
Sleeve ruffle and crystal detail
The skirt has an adjustable waist band with a hook and loop closure. Not all 18 inch dolls have the same waist size so I wanted to make sure it would fit any one of the standard dolls. The front middle of the skirt has a panel of the fabric. The sides have black lace ruffle that wraps around the back to the other side. It is also edged with the same crystals as the top. The back of the skirt has a slight train which adds to the drama of the gown.

To finish the outfit, there is a gray velvet hooded traveling cape lined with the Haunted Mansion fabric. It closes at the neck with a fabric loop and beautiful gemstone button.
